G.S.I. Investigations® is a licensed and bonded private investigation and employer consultation firm located in Phoenix, Arizona. The agency and its employees are licensed by Arizona state law by the Department of Public Safety under agency license number 8612001.
GSI™ was founded as a partnership in 1983 by J. Rick Smith and Gary Gibson. The original name designation of Gibson-Smith International Investigations transitioned and became G.S.I. Investigations® over time. In 1986, Smith obtained controlling interest in the firm when Gibson retired. To date Smith remains the Chief Operating Officer and Qualifying Party for the agency.
Although the agency is designated and handles all forms of General Investigations, its E.S.D.™ (Employers' Service Division) primarily focuses on the needs of the corporate community, with a specialty core of services focusing in the Human Resource and the Labor relations environment.
Over time, GSI™ quickly became recognized as the premier GO-TO investigative source in Arizona within this focus specialty. Today, the ESD™ functions as a full service consultation and advisory group, as well as assisting employers and other corporate interests with their investigative needs.
